Terms of Service

Last updated October 25, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Lookouts when you use lookouts.dev and the Lookouts service. By creating an account or using Lookouts, you agree to them. If you use Lookouts for your company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

The service

Lookouts connects to the project tools you choose, such as Linear, Jira and GitHub, and shows and sends you what needs your attention. It is read-only: it does not change your issues. We may improve, change or remove features over time.

Your account

  • You must sign up with a work email address or a work Google account, and give accurate information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
  • You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and at least 16.

Connecting your tools

You confirm that you have the right to connect each tool and to let Lookouts read the data it accesses, including under your employer's policies. You can disconnect a tool at any time in Settings, which deletes the data we synced from it.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Lookouts. In particular, do not:

  • break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;
  • attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours, or probe or disrupt the service;
  • reverse engineer the service, or resell or share access outside your plan;
  • use automated means to overload the service, or use it to send spam.

Your data

You keep ownership of your data. You give us permission to process it only to run Lookouts for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your project data to train AI models.

Plans, trial and payment

New accounts start with a 14-day Pro trial that needs no card. After the trial your workspace moves to the free plan unless you upgrade. Paid plans are billed in advance each month through our payment processor, at the price shown when you subscribe. You can cancel at any time and your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for. Unless the law says otherwise, we do not give refunds for partial periods. We will give notice before changing prices, and a change applies from your next billing period.

AI-generated drafts

Lookouts can draft status updates and messages using AI. Drafts can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for checking and editing anything before you send or rely on it.

Our rights

Lookouts, its design and its software belong to us and our licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Lookouts available but do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Lookouts depends on third-party tools, whose outages or changes can affect what you see. Alerts are a helpful aid, not a guarantee that every issue will be flagged, so please do not rely on Lookouts as your only way of tracking critical work.

Disclaimers and liability

Lookouts is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you have not paid anything, to zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You can stop using Lookouts and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or put the service or others at risk. When an account ends, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership and liability, will continue.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell you by email or in the app. If you keep using Lookouts after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
